 If you've been to downtown Rochester in the last few days, you've probably noticed adorable painted sheep popping up all over the place as part of the DDA's Ewe Revue 2. Visit our eBooks and Downloads page for more information or stop by the Adult Services Reference Desk on the 2nd floor during one of our drop-in help sessions. Tech volunteers will be offering one-on-one help setting up and using digital books and music from the library on Mondays from 3:30-5 p.m. and Thursdays from 7-8:30 p.m. No registration required.

Freegal Downloadable Music & Freading Downloadable eBooks

freegalFreedingWe are excited to introduce our two newest downloadable services, Freegal and Freading. Freegal is an exciting online service  filled with over 3 million songs from the Sony and IODA music catalogs. The best part about this service is that all songs in Freegal are available all the time and the downloaded songs are yours to keep forever! Each library cardholder is entitled to three song downloads per week. To get started, click here or visit our eBooks & Downloads page. Enter your library card number and password and then browse Freegal's collection to find your three free songs for the week.

Freading is an always available ebook store. Library cardholders receive four tokens per week to download books. Each book costs one, two or four tokens and can be renewed after the initial two week check out period for a lesser token price. Books downloaded from Freading are in the EPUB and PDF format and are compatible with most devices (except Kindles). To get started, click here and log in with your library card number and pin. Raise a Reader Month-by-Month

This early literacy program funded by a PNC Foundation grant will provide families with a new book and information about literacy every month. It is never too early to start raising a reader!
